WEST WARWICK, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
AstroNova, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALOT), a global leader in data visualization
technologies, today announced that a leading Nordic air carrier has
selected the ToughWriter® 640 flight deck printer for its Boeing 737 MAX
aircraft.
The airline will be the first to use the 40-column flight deck printer
in the 737 MAX. AstroNova’s ToughWriter 640 is used to print flight
planning data, ground communications and messages transmitted over the
ACARS digital datalink system. AstroNova is scheduled to begin
delivering the printer to Boeing in 2018.
“With its light weight, low power consumption and compact form factor,
the ToughWriter 640 is ideally suited for the technologically advanced
flight deck of the 737 MAX,” stated AstroNova President and Chief
Executive Officer Greg Woods. “As today’s announcement illustrates, our
Aerospace business unit is playing a leadership role in supplying
critical communications technology for the commercial aviation
industry’s newest aircraft. Our alliance with this carrier is a result
of Boeing’s inclusion of the ToughWriter 640 in its 737 MAX catalog
earlier this year. We expect to establish a long and successful
relationship with this customer and secure partnering opportunities with
other carriers as we move forward.”
