Boeing Selects AstroNova’s ToughWriter® 640 Printer for B737NG and B737 MAX Aircraft

February 21, 2017

WEST WARWICK, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AstroNova, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALOT), a leading manufacturer and supplier of aerospace products including printers, networking hardware and related accessories to commercial, business and military customers, has announced that The Boeing Company has selected the ToughWriter® 640 flight deck printer to be included in Boeing’s B737NG and B737 MAX catalog.

“Boeing’s choice of the ToughWriter 640 for the 737 Next Generation and the 737 MAX underscores our strong relationship with the world’s largest aerospace company,” said AstroNova President and CEO Gregory A. Woods. “We are gratified by Boeing’s confidence in our products and service and look forward to continuing this successful alliance for years to come.”

The ToughWriter 640 40-column printer complements AstroNova’s ToughWriter 5 80-column printer, which was added to the Boeing catalog in 2016. The ToughWriter 640 offers the same capabilities as the ToughWriter 5 but in a form factor that is optimized for flight deck configurations where pedestal space is at a premium.

The ToughWriter 640 is the newest addition to AstroNova’s airborne printer family and is the smallest 40-column printer available. It is used in flight decks to print flight planning information, ACARS message and ground communications. AstroNova expects to begin delivering the printer to Boeing in 2018.
